2 weeks ago the Attitude team headed down to our favourite independent UK metal festival, the mighty Bloodstock Open Air. with over 5 stages, late-night entertainment and more clothing & record stalls than you could count BOA never disappoints and this years offering of metal madness was no different.

BOA fully rose to the table with their 2014 offering, boasting headliners such as Down, Emperor and Megadeth, it was evident that this year was set to be one of the biggest and best metal events this UK festival run has seen, which is no easy feat for a completely independent festival. Not only were the headliners some of the biggest truants on the scene but the rest of the line-up included an army of rock warlords, it’s safe to say that Amon Amarth, Hatebreed & Carcass aren’t the kind of support acts you’re gonna see often! However that wasn’t enough for the legendary BOA, bringing the likes of Children of Bodom, Saxon, Lacuna Coil, Decapitated and many, many more to the rainy Derbyshire field, making this one of the most exciting metal line-ups before we’d even stepped into the muddy madness.
We’re always stoked to head down to the notorious Catton Park, of course drinking beers & banging our heads is high up on the list of things to do, but checking out the latest metal fashion on offer, catching up with some of our favourite bands and meeting new ones is equally as important as the notorious party times! This year saw us hanging with a few of our favourite extreme metallers – doom warlord Thomas Warrior from Triptykon/Celtic Frost, death metal gurus Entombed A.D., thrash kings Flotsam & Jetsam and the metal heavyweights, Prong. Talk about badass?! We also bumped into some of our favourite metal model babes, saw some KILLER sets & some absolutely insane costumes! Check it all out in the video below & let us know what ya think. Were you guys there? Who was your fave band of the weekend & what are your predictions for 2015??…Because we are ALREADY planning our next BOA with beer, babes & bands in mind!
